The Challenge.
The National Wellness Institute wants designers to reimagine how people can adopt and maintain a routine that enhances their well-being.
We will be required to conduct user research to understand people's relationship with emotional well-being in order to develop a tool that will drive them to action.
The Discovery
To organize ideas and data collected thanks to users interviews and surveys, I always use this tool called the Affinity Diagram.
As a result, we've deeply understood our primary user's needs and experiences, enabling us to design a solution that directly addresses their pain points.
Affinity Diagram
Defining our Persona through her Journey with the App
« If my first tries are effective, I will take the automatism to use the application daily »
Thanks to our previous work, the Problem Statement was identified.
Help overwhelmed individuals find lasting peace by providing accessible tools for emotional self-care.
What is Inès Happy Path.
Here we have imagined Inès’ user flow and how it will conduct her to the happy path by finding a customized and quick meditation while at work
The Look & Feel.
LoveYa is empowering, relaxing, calm, fresh, and entertaining
What could be the primary colors, the accent colors, and finally the neutrals, we needed pastels and also strong colors, still appealing, for accessibility matters.
We mixed 2 typographies: Ibarra real nova for the big header and Montserrat for the rest.
The Evolution.
At the time of testing, our users suggested some relevant improvements before moving on to the Hi-Fidelity Prototype.
Below is the evolution from Mid-Fidelity to Hi-Fidelity
This lead to work on the Hi-Fidelity prototype.
The hierarchy between the different components could be established.
Corrections from the Usability Testing
Accessibility wise, the users prefered without faces
The Progression bar wasn’t clear enough
The dashboard required a higher level of detail and specificity
Keep the interface simple without the Lecture button
Let’s see what is Inès’ Happy Path
In the morning, Inès takes care of her family, everything goes very fast already, then she arrives at the office late because of public transport.
It's a bad start, all the colleagues are asking for help at the same time. She can't take it anymore and needs to refocus and calm down. She managed to isolate herself to use the app, so she chooses a quick and effective session to calm the tensions.
She feels lighter now, everything is better.
